Vendor Spotlight: Meet Marrissa Klaas from Arrowhead Photography
Hey bride!
For this vendor feature, I’m so excited to introduce you to Marrissa Klaas, the heart and soul behind Arrowhead Photography based in Waterloo, Iowa.
I’ve had the chance to work with Marrissa on a few styled shoots and wedding vendor shows, and every time I leave so impressed—not just by her talent, but by how she makes everyone around her feel seen, calm, and totally comfortable. She just gets it. She knows how to capture the emotion of your day without forcing a thing, and her photos always feel like you—in the best light.
A Little About Marrissa
Marrissa met her husband, Mike, in 2017, and since then they’ve shared a love of traveling, Hawkeye football, vinyl records, and new adventures together. She’s a loving stepmom, devoted fur-mom to Sgt. Pepper & Prudence (best names ever), and even a proud step-grandma.
Although she describes herself as an introvert, once she’s behind the camera, she turns into your biggest cheerleader—with a quick wit and the kind of energy that makes you feel like you’ve known her forever.
She specializes in Midwest weddings of all kinds—from cozy backyard ceremonies to rustic barns and elegant venues all over Eastern Iowa. Her style blends timeless color with warmth, posed portraits, and candid real-life moments. Whether you’re super comfy in front of the camera or feeling a little nervous, she’s got a way of making it feel easy (and even fun!).
